patient
The patient in this practical example is 59 years old, a physical therapist, and has been seeing me for foot care since September 23, 2002. She is overweight and suffers from extremely dry skin.
case history
I have therefore recommended to my patient that she apply footlogix™ 3 extra Cream Foam for Rhagades to her feet in the mornings and evenings. But unfortunately, as a very stressed person, she could not be convinced of the necessity of a twice daily application.
initial condition
Since my patient likes to go barefoot on carpeting, the skin of her feet often catches on the loops of the carpeting, which leads to initial tearing and then fissures (see Picture 1). Because of the insufficient application to her feet, the condition of her skin did not improve as hoped.
treatment
First I gently removed the thick keratinizations. Then my patient was to apply the new footlogix™ 3 extra Cream Foam for Rhagades (with intensive care complex of 15% urea and evening primrose oil) to her feet once daily, which she also did.
after six weeks
As the photo on the right shows, the regular application of footlogix™ 3 extra Cream Foam for Rhagades led to a remarkable result. After an extremely short time – and with only one application per day – a completely new formation of skin was achieved (see Picture 2). The skin of the foot is once again smooth and soft. The rhagade problem can be considered solved.
patient's opinion
My patient is thrilled about the new footlogix™ 3 extra Cream Foam for Rhagades, which leaves no greasy residue and has bestowed her with “new” feet in a very short time. By the way – encouraged by this positive experience, my patient now applies footlogix™ 3 Cream Foam (10% urea) to her feet twice daily, which can be recommended for long-term care following the use of the footlogix™ 3 extra.
expert's opinion
The footlogix™ 3 extra Cream Foam for Rhagades is a complete success and reflects the quality of the entire line. It can be recommended with complete justification as an effective alternative to previous fissure creams and salves. The success achieved confirms my numerous positive experiences with footlogix™ Cream Foams, which I cannot imagine doing without in my podiatry practice.
